WICKED: A 16-year-old girl from Iowa died of starvation and diapers

A teenager who starved to death five months ago has deeply shocked the city of Des Moines, Iowa, wondering how the 16-year-old's parents could let her die of starvation.

Now, case documents just opened in state court reveal that Natalie Finn was found wearing adult diapers and lying on the floor covered with feces and vomit, surrounded by animals in a messy and messy house.

The girl lived with her adoptive mother, Nicole Finn, 42, along with two other foster brothers aged 15 and 14, who had been seen for some time praying for food at a store near her home.

The woman faces, among others, charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping and child abuse related to the death of the adolescent. Her husband, Joseph Finn, 46, is also in police custody in Polk County after his arrest in December.

According to several sources cited by local media, the girl was found unconscious on October 24 after a 911 call for help in West Des Moines. She did not breathe and was on the linoleum floor of her room, which had no furniture, surrounded by excrement and - according to police sources - "it had been a long time like this."
Natalie later died in a local hospital.

Different local media say that social workers went to the home of the Finn some time ago, but determined that the young woman was malnourished "because she did not want to eat." Other information ensures that inspectors found the family house "a lot of food" in the refrigerator.

Likewise, it was reported that the husband did not live all the time in the family home and confessed that when the two surviving children of the couple fled to ask for food to a nearby store, helped to cover the window through which they escaped by nailing a board .
