11 years after the death of Rocío Dúrcal, his daughters Carmen and Shaila, remember with fondness

The singer died at the age of 61 on March 25, 2006

Eleven years have passed since the death of our beloved Rocío Dúrcal, and they have not had a single day when their children remember her fondly. Through their social networks, Carmen Morales and Shaila Dúrcal remembered the anniversary of their mother's misfortune and dedicated some beautiful words that moved their followers. Both usually remember their mother on special days, such as Mother's Day or the anniversary of her wedding with her father, the late singer Antonio Morales.



Shaila, the youngest daughter of the three who had the marriage, used her Instagram account to publish an emotional message and a photograph with her mother, from whom she inherited the passion for singing. The image that Shaila shared is from a few years ago, when she was a young girl and beside her appears her beloved mother. "You never left my side, today more than ever I feel you are close to me, giving me every day the opportunity to follow your legacy, to be the woman you taught me to be. The followers of the singer of 37 years were moved by the publication and sent her best wishes and like her, they honored the memory of the legendary interpreter.

Dúrcal's widow died in April 2014 for natural causes and it is known that during his last days he suffered a severe depression, because he could never overcome the death of his beloved Rocío.
Rocío Dúrcal died of cancer; In 2001 the disease was detected and in spite of this she continued with her music and her medical treatments. Three years later, shortly before recording what would be her last album, doctors detected that the cancer had reached the lungs. The artist returned to the sessions and chemotherapy and managed to record Alma Ranchera. The artist died on March 25, 2006 at the age of 61, at her home in Torrelodones, a few miles from Madrid.
