REPORT: Police call for help to identify charred corpse in Las Vegas

Las Vegas officials are asking for public help to identify a body that was found burned outside an apartment complex in the so-called Sin City.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the girl's body was discovered by chance on Saturday as two people played with their drone and spotted black spots on the walls of a building. When the police arrived they found the remains of the woman who had been burned hidden between two walls. "It's pretty awful," said Dan McGrath, a lieutenant with the Metropolitan Police Department in that city. "We do not have much information, but we have [the body] of a young woman of short stature who is dead."

At the moment, the information that the investigators handle is that this one would be between 16 and 20 years and the brunette complexion, measured 5'4 "of height and weighed approximately 100 pounds. There are signs that a flammable substance was used to burn her body, so they believe she was killed.

The researchers made a sketch of the young woman so that the public helps to identify it. "The sooner we identify it, the faster we can figure out who it was, who it came from, and who could have done it," McGrath said.

Anyone who has information about this case is asked to contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Section at 702-828-3521, or email: homicide@lvmpd.com.
