BREAKING: Mourning Rock and Roll: At age 90 dies the father of the genre, Chuck Berry

John Lennon once said that if you had to put another name to rock and roll, it should be called "Chuck Berry". The former Beatle knew perfectly well what he said: there may be much debate about the origin of rock, but almost all agree that the founding figure was this man born in 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri, and who changed the world with songs like "Johnny B. Goode," "Sweet Little Sixteen," or "No Particular Place To Go."

Berry ceased to exist on March 19, at age 90, just outside his native St. Louis. St. Charles County police responded to a medical emergency, but on arrival they found the legendary musician dead.

Although his faculties were declining, Berry continued playing live and had announced that this 2017 would release its first disc in 38 years titled simply Chuck.
