Immigration authorities in the United States arrest a Dreamer
Daniel Ramirez Medina, the first Dreamer arrested in one of the recent raids by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), is seeking his release in federal court as the young man was Authorized to remain temporarily in the United States under a program

Speaking to NBC News, an ICE spokesman said Ramirez admitted to gang membership and was arrested based on that affiliation and posing a public safety risk.
Ramirez Medina's lawyer, Mark Rosenbaum, said in a statement: "Mr. RamÃrez unequivocally denies being in a gang." It also indicates that, upon being detained, he was pressured by the authorities to admit such affiliation.
