Meghan Markle follows in the footsteps of Princess Diana with an emotional visit to India



Actress Meghan Markle made an emotional visit to India as part of her work at the World Vision foundation, of which she is an ambassador. The television star, who is currently a couple of Prince Harry, arrived in New Delhi where she learned about the various problems affecting girls and women in the poorest neighborhoods of the Indian capital. These problems focus on the lack of opportunities for study and health services.

The 35-year-old's journey coincided with the World Vision Rise Up movement! Daughters of India, which aims to increase awareness of gender discrimination, including the problem of 63 million adolescents who do not have access to adequate health facilities.

"Meghan had been planning this (over the past eight months), conducting her own research and helping set the agenda for the trip," a source told Us Weekly. "She did not want to get notes from someone else and only show up when it was due. These are important areas of interest to Meghan and she loves to cover topics in which she feels very passionate. " Meghan first became World Vision's ambassador last year, joining a long list of celebrities, including Princess Diana, the mother of her beloved boyfriend. The Princess of Wales visited India in 1992 and went to the most marginalized neighborhoods in the company of Mother Teresa of Calcutta. The mother of William and Harry did numerous charitable work and their children have the same vocation as she and have continued with her legacy.

Meghan is very committed to office as ambassador and thanks to the work that plays, has been noticed the spectacular work has been made through the years.
