Chelsea Clinton defends Barron Trump, son of Donald Trump, of bullying in social networks

The entire family of Donald Trump was under the public eye last weekend in presidential investiture and official events. Not even the youngest of the clan was saved; Even the grandchildren of the president occupied the headlines. However, in the midst of the media attention they all received, Barron Trump became the center of the eyes, but in a negative way, as some users and even celebrities, attacked him with all kinds of negative comments about his appearance or behavior

In her defense came Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President Bill Clinton, who spent much of her teenage years in the White House during her father's tenure. Through her Twitter and Facebook accounts, Clinton, 36, wrote a message urging the bullies to leave Barron, who is only 10 years old, alone. "Barron Trump deserves every child's opportunity to be a child. Defending all children also means opposing the policies of @POTUS (President's Twitter account), which harm children. " Unsurprisingly, her message divided opinions, as there were those who applauded the fact that she defended Trump's son and also annoyed those who highlighted the political message in her publication.

Chelsea knows better than anyone what Barron Trump is about to live. When she arrived at the White House as First Daughter, she was only 12 years old and, like Barron, from the early days of her father's government, she became the center of attention. The daughter of Hillary Clinton lived in the official residence from 1993 to 2001 and lived all type of experiences. In 2012 she recalled when radio announcer Rush Limbaugh compared her to a dog when she was only 13 years old. "They say there's a cat in the White House, but did they know there's a dog too?" He said as she showed a photo of Chelsea. Shortly thereafter, Limbaugh apologized publicly.

Barron grabbed everyone's attention when his father won the presidential election on Nov. 8. That night, numerous comments were made on the face of boredom and the young man's yawns during the celebration of his father's victory, which he repeated in the presidential inauguration on January 20. The images became vandalized in social networks and nobody could stop the mockery.

Even actress Julie Bowen of the Modern Family series used her social networks to join comments on Barron. After a while, Bowen made their social networks private, as Twitter users did not tolerate their comments against Melania Trump's only son. Last November Rossie O'Donnell shared a video that hinted that Barron Trump was autistic. These statements caused a wave of criticism against him.
