Like a fairy tale: The magical kiss of Gisele and Tom after the incredible end of the Super Bowl
By the time Super Bowl LI came in, the night seemed to have definitely fallen on Tom Brady's dream of becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to win five league titles. The score was 21-3 in favor of the Atlanta Falcons, and statistics said that no team had traced such a difference in history. But in the stands, a long-haired woman kept cheering and believing in Brady and his team. It was, of course, his wife, Brazilian top model Gisele Bundchen. And maybe that faith made the miracle happen.
The Patriots managed to tie the game to 28 points with less than a minute left, taking the game to an unprecedented extra time, and then in his first drive, Brady drove his team to an agonizing touchdown that sparked the euphoria.
While the confetti fell, the eyes and the cameras turned to the tribunes, looking for Gisele, that went down to the field to celebrate with her husband, taking with itself daughter Vivian. And after long minutes, the reunion between the Brady came, with a passionate and magical kiss that crowned this fairy tale, on and off the court.
In an interview with NBC, Gisele endorsed Tom's irrepressible faith: "I never stopped believing," she said. "Sometimes you just have to believe."
