Where is Melania? After the investiture of Donald Trump, the First Lady is notably absent
Melania and Donald Trump did not even celebrate the 12th wedding anniversary, which was fulfilled the same day the First Lady and Barron returned to Manhattan
Last November, a few days after her husband was elected US President, Trump clarified that he would not move to the White House immediately, and that he would spend her time between Washington D.C. And New York. The reason? "The Trump family is anxious to get their 10-year-old son out of school half a semester," said Jason Miller, a family representative. Barron, the only son of Melania and Donald, is studying at one of Manhattan's most exclusive colleges and his parents have decided they will not transition to the White House until he completes his school year.
According to TMZ, Melania and Barron returned to the famous Trump Tower in New York last Sunday after participating in the celebrations of the investiture of Donald. But as happens to any parent, Melania forgot that Barron's school would not be in session until yesterday because of a conference between teachers.
After several days filled with partying and protocol, there is the possibility that Melania has taken her return to New York as an excuse to return to the privacy of her home. To lead a public and hasty life should not be easy, and as evidence is the fact that the Trump did not even have time to celebrate the 12th anniversary of their wedding, which was fulfilled the same day the First Lady and Barron returned to Manhattan. The couple married on January 22, 2005 in Mar-a-Lago, the Donald estate in Palm Beach, Florida, and, interestingly, among the guests, Hillary and Bill Clinton were counted.
Some media have hinted that Ivanka, the President's favorite daughter, could take the First Lady's place in an informal way. Ivanka's representatives have denied the insinuations, but Jared Kushner's wife has been much more involved in politics than her stepmother. For example, it was Ivanka who recently hosted a meeting between her father and Al Gore, the former Vice President of the United States.
Will Melania stay out of focus and let Ivanka take her place? Time will tell, but for now the mother of Barron Trump has decided to keep a very low profile.
