The new roomie of this gallant? A lovely old lady of 89 years!

The friendship does not know of ages and that makes it clear Norma Cook, of 89 years and Chris Salvatore of 31 years. The pair could not be more different, but that has not prevented them from becoming inseparable, so much so that Chris has invited Norma to live with him. Although their relationship began to be neighbors for many years, Norma's delicate illness made the handsome young man turn it into his new roomie.

For the last four years, Chris has lived right in front of Norma in Hollywood Hills, California. Since then, the handsome actor has always had a close relationship with the nice lady. Unfortunately, a couple of months ago Norma had to be admitted to the hospital because she had pneumonia that complicated the leukemia she suffers. The nearly 90-year-old lady remained in the hospital for several weeks until the doctor determined she could not live alone again.

At this news, Chris opened a GoFundMe account to get the funds to pay for a nurse who cared for 24 hours, but quickly realized that the money would not reach. With this in mind, the boy decided that the simplest thing would be to take Norma to live with him. "I love her, she's my best friend, I'd do everything for her," Chris told People.

In his Instagram account, Chris has documented much of this beautiful friendship, including the party he arranged for Norma when he left the hospital. But Norma is not the only new inhabitant of Chris's apartment, the lady left with everything and her kitten Hermes. Thus, all three have their own daily adventures, which regularly include a glass of champagne.

According to the doctors, Norma was unlikely to survive beyond the holidays because of her health problems, but with the right care she has overcome any prediction. Chris assures that he will only strive to enjoy to the maximum what he has left of life.
