More than a year after Steve Harvey mistakenly crowned Ariadne Gutierrez, who represented Colombia at the time, and after both seem to have made peace, Steve Harvey will once again host Miss Universe, according to Entertainment Weekly: "Although he made a mistake earlier, Harvey will return to be the one who will (hopefully) announce the winner of the Miss Universe contest, which will take place in January 2017"
Ariadne confessed that for her it was the worst experience she had ever lived and she could not believe what happened to her. "After all that happened, all I wanted was to be with my family and get away from it all for a while. At first I could not stop thinking about it, it was like a nightmare. " After that, Harvey confessed that he felt that, that was already a thing of the past and that he considered, "it was a question of destiny."
Sources close to NBC told TMZ that Harvey asked Ariadna to please forgive him and he did not stop crying: "No matter how hard it was for me, I can not even imagine how they did it," said the comedian . The winner of the contest, Pia Alonzo, was also on the show, but according to TMZ, she had no contact with Ariadna Gutiérrez.
After her mistake in Miss Universe, Harvey said he had received death threats and all kinds of insults from angry fans. For her part, Ariadna has had a great time in her career, as she gained popularity after the beauty contest.
The contest will be held in the Philippines and will also feature model Ashley Graham. In the United States will be able to see in the chain of Fox Sunday, January 29 at 7pm (ET).
